I am so pleased to announce that www.dismantlerepair.co.uk is now online, with a new layout and bigger images! It may still need a bit of tweaking, so do let me know if you find any bugs!

DISMANTLEREPAIR WEBSITE NOW UP!

[link]

Unfathomable irritation with other websites gave me enough of a kick up the arse to write my own site to showcase my portfolio. DA has become (and has been for a while) a retarded popularity contest and in my point of view will continue to go downhill, myspace is irritating, boring and fake, and I can't be bothered with flickr right now. So here you go.

I'm saddened at the amount I think about deleting/closing down my dA account.. I don't think I will, networking is important I guess.

On a lighter note: I got a release cable and a remote as a belated birthday present, and I'm thrilled to bits! WOOOOOO

I don't know what it is, but I reckon I've lost my enthusiasm for dA. Fear not, my enthusiasm for photography has not died at all, there is just something that changed inside of me when it comes to this website. My subscription runs out in two days and I don't think it's worth me renewing, aside from the no-ads and journal css benefits. The main subscription features I benefited from now come in the free account package, like the comment preview and deviation thumbs in my inbox.

I don't know, maybe my mood will change soonish, now that my computers are up and running again. I don't think I've ever been more worried/upset in my entire life when I realised that it was possible that I could lose a year's worth of photography work because of a crash. Luckily, my dad managed to recover the data using some form of Linux, so I'm all happy now!

New photos coming your way, and thankyou so much for all the comments and favourites and such, I really do appreciate them, but can't get back to every single message unfortunately. I try my best!

Enjoy the fancy CSS while it lasts! I'm gonna back it up now actually, incase it doesn't come back should I renew my sub.

EDIT: I've finally made a dismantlerepair facebook page.

Goodbye lovely CSS!

Journal Entry: Mon Aug 4, 2008, 3:15 AM

I am extremely overdue a journal update.. the last one was like 4 months ago or something! Sorry!

I really thought this summer would be a great chance to catch up on my pending shoots and organise them but the people that want their photographs taken all seem to be on holiday/busy or live too far away. That's the problem with the internet - people who live way too far away are interested in having shoots done, and I can't travel unless my travel fees are covered. Poo. I'm not entirely bothered though, I've spent loads and loads of time with friends, which has been amazing.

I am in absolute agony right now waiting for college prospectuses to come through the post - I have left applying for college way too late! and I can only apply once I know the name of the photography course I want and have an application form *sigh* Plan B is just getting a job for a year I guess, and applying next year instead. I can't even express how much I look forward to studying something I won't actually fail at - I am the most unacademic person imaginable!

At some point I'll probably do a photography feature or something, I've been thinking about doing one for a while but I never get around to updating my journal because I am lazy and can't be bothered. Not to mention that nothing overly exciting actually happens in my life. Haha.
